Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
TSOL is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes the data we collect, why we collect it, and your rights — covering both our UK and Nigerian operations, with specific provisions for consular visa and immigration data processing.
1. Who We Are
Technical Support Overseas Limited ("TSOL", "we", "us", "our") is a global technical services company registered in England & Wales (UK Office: RM125JU) with operational presence in Lagos, Nigeria (Surulere). We provide international recruitment, technical procurement, freight logistics, and consular / immigration facilitation services to the Oil & Gas and engineering sectors.
This Privacy Policy explains how TSOL handles personal data collected through our website (technicalsupportoverseas.com), our employer & candidate registration portals, and any associated communication channels, including the external visa facilitation portal at visatonigeria.com.
2. What Information We Collect
We collect personal data in the following categories:
- Identity Data: Full name, date of birth, nationality, passport number, and government-issued ID details (required for consular visa and work-permit applications).
- Contact Data: Email address, telephone number, postal/residential address.
- Professional Data: CV/résumé, employment history, qualifications, certifications, references, and role preferences (collected from candidates registering with us).
- Employer Data: Company name, company size, contact person, role specifications, and operational requirements (collected from employer registration forms).
- Immigration & Consular Data: Passport bio-data page copies, visa application forms, Subject to Regularisation (STR) / Temporary Work Permit (TWP) documentation, travel history, and sponsor letters — required for Nigerian immigration processing.
- Technical Data: IP address, browser type/version, device identifiers, referring URL, and pages visited — collected automatically via server logs.
- Communications: Emails, enquiry messages, and form submissions sent to us directly.
3. How We Use Your Information
TSOL uses your personal data strictly for the following lawful purposes:
- Processing and facilitating Nigerian visa, STR, TWP, and CERPAC applications on your behalf.
- Matching candidates with employer vacancies and managing the international recruitment process.
- Fulfilling employer contracts — including technical crew mobilisation and procurement coordination.
- Maintaining employer and candidate registration records.
- Contacting you with application status updates, interview arrangements, and documentation requests.
- Complying with UK and Nigerian legal obligations (e.g., right-to-work verification, anti-money-laundering checks).
- Improving our website and services through aggregated, anonymised analytics.
- Sending you relevant updates on service changes (only where you have given consent).
5. International Data Transfers
TSOL operates across the UK and Nigeria. Personal data may therefore be transferred between these jurisdictions as part of normal service delivery — for example, where a UK-registered employer hires candidates who require Nigerian visa facilitation. All such transfers are conducted under appropriate safeguards consistent with UK GDPR and the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023. Where data is shared with third-party consular service providers (e.g., OIS Services), those providers are contractually required to maintain equivalent data protection standards.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary:
- Candidate records are retained for 3 years from the date of last engagement, after which they are securely deleted unless the candidate requests otherwise.
- Immigration and consular documents are retained for 5 years following the completion of a visa application, in compliance with regulatory record-keeping requirements.
- Employer records are retained for 6 years in line with UK Companies Act obligations.
- Website technical logs are retained for 90 days.
7. Your Rights
Under the UK GDPR and the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, you have the following rights:
- Right of Access: Request a copy of personal data we hold about you.
- Right to Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Right to Erasure: Request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention obligations.
- Right to Object: Object to processing of your data for direct marketing at any time.
- Right to Portability: Receive a machine-readable copy of data you provided to us.
- Right to Withdraw Consent: Where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Security
TSOL implements appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Immigration and identity documents are held in encrypted storage and access is restricted to authorised personnel only. No data transmission over the internet is guaranteed 100% secure; however, we take all reasonable precautions to protect information in transit.
10. Changes to This Policy
TSOL may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or operating practices. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will be revised accordingly. Material changes will be communicated via a notice on our website or directly by email where we hold your contact details.
